PGC supports the IC turnkey process, which includes tsmc mask and wafer processing, C/P (chip probing), package assembly and F/T (final testing). According to the different issue, PGC makes the definitions as: (1) engineering run, (2) pilot run, (3) risk run, (4) super hot run and (5) mass production. (1) Engineering Sample Run: Once complete the GDSII, PGC will start its engineering sample run production. 50 engineering samples will then be delivered to the customer for verification. The customer shall provide " 1MHz Test Pattern" to verify the function of the engineering samples. If the engineering samples failed to pass the "1MHz Test Pattern", PGC should take the responsibility. If the engineering samples passed the "1MHz Test Pattern" and meet the specification that the customer provided, the engineering sample run has been completed. (2) Pilot Run: The customer wants to produce small quantity for confirming the yield rate, quality stably or any issue before mass production. All purchasing orders from the customer between 200 to 1000 chips will be treated as pilot run orders. (3) Risk Run: Before customer sign the sample approval, all on-hand purchasing orders from the customer will be treated as risk orders. The customer shall take the risk of design and material. (4) Super Hot Run: For speeding requirements, PGC can provide the "Super Hot Run" option to customers. In general, delivery will be shortened by less than one day per layer production. Comparing to the normal process, it saves about half of production time in manufacturing period. Super Hot Run option service is the best solution to changeable market and applications, especially the highly growing market and unpredictable orders. For "Super Hot Run" option service, our customers have to pay the Super Hot Run charge. Although the rapid production, PGC still promise the best quality of service through cooperated to TSMC fab. (5) Mass Production: After receiving a sample approval form with the customer's signature, mass production will be initiated using the finalized specification signed by the customer, and all on-hand purchasing orders from the customer will be treated as mass production orders. The customer shall provide the forecast for next 3 months in order to make the mass production processing smoothly. |
