PGC Joins Synopsys IP OEM Partner Program to Drive Advanced IP Solutions on TSMC
PGC (Progate Group Corporation) officially joined the Synopsys IP OEM Partner Program in August 2024. Joining Synopsys’ IP program marks a significant milestone for PGC in developing its capabilities in advanced process technologies. Through this program, PGC will leverage its design expertise and Synopsys industry-leading IP solutions, including high-performance, proven IP for TSMC’s advanced 6nm process technology, to provide end customers with high-quality system-on-chip (SoC) and application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) designs.
As AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) applications continue to proliferate, the complexity and difficulty of integrated circuit (IC) design are growing exponentially. PGC will integrate Synopsys high-speed interface IP, including die-to-die, Ethernet, PCIe, MIPI, DDR, and USB, toenable standards-compliant connectivity for their customers’ designs. As part of the IP OEM program, PGC will also benefit from Synopsys’ expert technical support and services, which will assist in overcoming design challenges to further optimize design performance, power, and area (PPA), and shorten time-to-market. These advantages will be crucial in helping PGC provide more innovative and reliable design services to its customers.
PGC has been actively expanding its design services for advanced packaging technologies, to include CoWoS, InFO, and chiplet integration. Through its long-standing collaboration with Synopsys, PGC has been using Synopsys’ EDA tools to significantly enhance the efficiency and quality of its advanced node APR physical design services. Joining the Synopsys IP OEM Program not only expands PGC’s global market but also strengthens its competitive edge in ASIC turnkey services, enabling the company to provide more comprehensive solutions to its customers.
